In an article that Lorraine wrote for Vanity Fair in February 2024, the “World’s Greatest Dad” talent divulged how she would frequent the Playboy Mansion from a very young age up until she was 11.
Interestingly, Lorraine revealed, “People assume that my father took me to the Mansion, but they assume wrong. In fact, I can venture with confidence that I spent more time there than my father ever did. It was actually my nanny, Cis, who brought me.”

The star, who said she would go to the Playboy Mansion because that’s where all her friends (peers and an older crowd) were, shared that although her father would never accompany her, she and her friends would sometimes get dropped off at the Playboy Mansion by her mom.

“During that period, the boys and I entertained ourselves by driving child-size cars, endlessly and in circles, on the tennis court,” disclosed Lorraine, who also revealed that she never participated in after-school activities or went to summer camp.
Lorraine, who would also hang out with late Playboy founder Hugh Hefner’s sons Marston and Cooper Hefner, even celebrated her birthdays at the mansion. “Marston and I were born a week apart. When I’d celebrate my birthday at the Mansion, Marston would cry if he didn’t receive presents too,” noted the “Click” actress.
Aside from divulging childhood anecdotes, like the moment she had a negative animal experience with a peacock that bit her, Lorraine unveiled, “My mom and dad never really made friends with the other parents at my school. In their defense, the other parents eyed them like they would a stumbling toddler, never knowing, precisely, what they would do next.”
While the other parents would find themselves enthralled with Lorraine’s parents’ “eccentric antics,” they were not too keen on allowing their kids to have playdates at Jack’s house, which Lorraine said she understood.
Unlike typical fathers, Lorraine says that Jack “could show up at the Mansion, without an invitation, at any time,” because he was on the list.
Other details Lorraine shared in her essay include how her mom would bond with Hugh’s ex-wife and mother of his children Kimberly Conrad over “their shared experience of loving a playboy.”
The women would also find solace in each other when dealing with “malicious gossip” and scandal concerning their husbands’ alleged affairs with other women.

Years before Lorraine’s revelations about her childhood and parents, Jack sat down for an interview with AARP in 2008, where he discussed fatherhood from his perspective.
When asked what type of father he thinks he is, the “Batman” actor initially gave praise to Rebecca for being a fantastic mother, and said the two of them share a “divided parenthood.”

He then answered, “I want to be inspirational, or some kind of good influence on them without overburdening them. It’s their time of life to find out who they are. I always read to them, from childhood on; I think that’s a father’s responsibility. I took them to things I knew they might not love — opera, ballet.”
