Golden Globes host Nikki Glaser left no one out of the firing line

Nikki Glaser completely killed it at the Golden Globes – depending on who you ask – and Hollywood’s biggest names got an absolute grilling.

From telling Timothée Chalamet that ‘even skinny guys can land a Kardashian’, to referencing Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ alleged afterparties, saying: “The after party’s not gonna be as good this year, but at least it’s safe.”

The American stand-up also said that Selena Gomez’s engagement to Benny Blanco was due to ‘a genie who granted him that wish’.

But one of the jokes of the evening was aimed at Nicole Kidman and her newest x-rated film Babygirl, featuring so many sex scenes that it ‘made her not want to orgasm anymore’.

Babygirl sees Kidman take on the role of CEO Romy Mathis, who puts her career and family on the line in exchange for an affair with Samuel (Harris Dickinson), her much younger intern.

On the night, Kidman was nominated for Actress in a Drama Motion Picture and before her category was announced, Glaser went for her.

The 40-year-old said: “Nicole Kidman is here, oh my gosh. Nominated for Babygirl.

“Oh my gosh, I loved that movie. I gave it two fingers up.”

It was followed up with a joke about Kidman’s partner Keith Urban, with Glaser saying: “Thank you to Keith Urban for playing the guitar so much that she wants to leave and make 18 movies a year. Keep strumming you kooky coola.”

However, it turns out that Glaser was banned from telling the joke she actually wanted to.

During an appearance on The Howard Stern Show, she said: “Some of these were pitched and they were like, ‘we can’t say that on TV.'”

Her joke: “The Wild Robot is nominated tonight… and by that, I mean Nicole Kidman after two white wines.”

“I wish I had done that, but if Nicole made a [displeased] face… I think she would have been cool with it but you never know,” she explained.

Another joke that was cut was about accused murderer Luigi Mangione: “Glen Powell is nominated tonight for Hit Man.

“Who would have thought you’d only be the second-hottest hit man in America?”

She continued: “Only Murders in the Building is amazing. I think it’s so cool that legends like Steve Martin, Martin Short and Meryl Streep are still at it.

“It just goes to show you that you’re never too old to still need money. Why are you still working so hard? What’s going on, did you get caught up in the Hawk Tuah crypto scheme?”
