Sofia Vergara has shocked viewers by ‘heckling’ Jodie Foster during her win at this year’s Golden Globes.
Vergara was beaten out by Jodie Foster for a prestigious award. The Modern Family star was up for best TV actress for her role in Netflix’s Griselda, but Jodie Foster ultimately won forTrue Detective: Night Country.
When Foster walked up to take the award, Vergara hilariously yelled out at Foster, heckling her before she can speak.
Vergara yelled: “No, no! Not again! Give me one!”
One fan tweeted: “Sofía Vergara pretending to be mad for not winning! Love her so much!!!”
Another said: “Did Sofía Vergara shout at Jodie Foster, “Give me your award”?? Honestly could use more examples of that throughout awards season lol .”
Vergara also jokingly reacted when the camera cut to her reaction to Foster’s win, throwing her hands down in a pretend petulant outburst.
It all was in good spirit, as the pair have been friendly throughout the awards campaign.
The Columbian actress was competing via her role in the Netflix series in which she plays the real-life drug kingpin Griselda Blanco.
The show received a great deal of praise, with it receiving a 7.2 on IMDb and 86% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Vergara’s performance in particular received a great deal of praise.
Andrew Murray of The Upcoming said of the show: “Although events have been heavily fictionalised, Griselda is a gloriously entertaining watch that’s made all the better by Vergara’s powerhouse performance as the titular crime boss”.
Another review from Kyle Fowle of the TV Guide pointed to issues, but ultimately said: “Sofia Vergara makes up for most of the holes in her character’s motivation, indulging in a dramatic performance that’s miles away from her most famous turn on the sitcom Modern Family.”

Meanwhile, Jodie Foster’s award success that so griped Vergara is for her turn in the newest instalment of True Detective.
Arguably the most successful since its inaugural season, starring Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey, True Detective: Night Country sees Foster as a detective looking into the disappearance of eight men from a research station.
Similarly, Foster’s performance took a lot of the praise following the season’s release.
Elliot Collins of Movie Files said: “Jodie Foster gave a stunning performance, and [co-star] Kali Reis is a rockstar. Her arc was breathtaking to observe. This show was a feast for the eyes, with complex and layered characters, suspense, horror, mystery, and an incredible message at its core.”
