However, a lot of establishments have a certain set of rules when it comes to what is and what isn’t acceptable to wear.
And now one woman’s incredibly short shorts have been at the centre of an online debate.
She believes she was being bullied for being ‘too hot’, but other people on social media have a whole other theory on what went down…

Kerolay Chaves, from Brazil, took to Instagram to complain about the censorship of her rather revealing outfit.
“I just got home from the supermarket and was harassed for wearing ‘too short clothes’,” she claimed on the social media platform, translated from Portuguese to English.
“Some people looked at me with prejudice, others cursed me and finally, I was expelled from the place.
“Do you believe? I think it’s absurd for us women to still be treated that way just because we dress the way we want. The truth is that we go through this because we are too hot.”
Chavez also shared a snap of the outfit which apparently caused all of the trouble – which included a pair of denim shorts that were cut more like underwear.
Unfortunately for Chaves, most people sided with the shop staff and also objected to her revealing outfit.
“No need to go to a supermarket dressed like that,” wrote one critic, adding. “You are embarrassing the decent people who are often there with children.”
Another joked: “I guess the same way a shirtless man would get kicked out of the spot happened to you.”
On top of this, some people were not convinced about her story.
One wrote: “Clearly it was for engagement and Instagram likes. She never went to the supermarket like this. Those who follow the stories know. I’m sorry, but this can’t help you.”
A second added: “Stop using serious subjects for engagement fia. It’s not prejudice that you’re clueless.”
Somebody else pointed out: “She even had time to take a picture before being kicked out…”

While another detective commented: “There’s a piece of clothing inside the cart… I don’t think she entered the market like that… maybe she has covered the bottom part and took it just to take those pictures… I guess she didn’t get kicked out of anything… even because it seems like there’s no one in the market.
“She probably chose an empty place, took the photos, posted them with this controversial phrase just to gain engagement.”
If you want to get a tattoo, there are a few important things to consider first.
It’s essential to remember that inkings are permanent – so you want to make sure you like them, and will keep liking them, forever.
But it’s also worth remembering that thorough research into your tattoo design is key.
This week, one man learned the hard way that a seemingly innocent tattoo design can have a rather scandalous double meaning.

A man shared the tattoo he got to a Reddit forum, explaining his embarrassing mistake.
The inking was intended as a reference to the TV show Psych.
The show, which ran on NBC between 2006 and 2014, was a detective comedy-drama television series on NBC.
Its official description on IMDb reads: “When a novice sleuth convinces the police he has psychic powers, he and his reluctant best friend are hired on as consultants to help solve complicated cases.”
The show had a strange affiliation with pineapples, due to an improvised scene with the fruit during the pilot episode.
Pineapples became an emblem for the show and ended up cropping up in almost every episode as a sort of Easter egg for viewers.
The Redditor and Psych fan therefore got a huge tattoo of a pineapple, with a text overlay reading: ‘I Know You Know’, which is the name of the show’s theme tune.
However, it has since transpired that the inking isn’t quite as innocent as it initially seemed.
In fact, according to Men’s Health, an upside-down pineapple is actually a signifier for members of the swinging community.
Urban Dictionary explains that: “The pineapple represents hospitality and welcoming.
“A pineapple is placed on a porch or mailbox by swingers to signify that a swinger party is going on. A pineapple is turned upside down when a person is in search of a swinger party.
“Originally it was turned upside down in the individual’s shopping cart. But pineapple popularity has made it accepted on clothes and other items.
“Swingers use this symbol to identify each other in public.”
And it seems this meaning of pineapple tattoos is alive and well, with the hashtag #upsidedownpineapple currently at over 360 million views on TikTok.

The Redditor captioned his post: “Long story short, it’s a Psych™ reference that I just love, but more than that it’s 100% a swinger thing(Oop). Didn’t realise it at the time, and my heart goes out to swingers, but sadly I’m not part of the lifestyle. Any help?”
One person laughed: “Might just be easier (and cheaper) to become a swinger.”
While another (sensibly) suggested: “Get a tattoo next to it that says ‘This a reference to the popular television series Psych, which aired on USA Network from 2006-2014.
“The pineapple is a reference from this show and a favourite of mine, hence the tattoo.
“I only recently became aware that pineapples, usually inverted, are a common symbol to denote one’s self as a swinger.
“I myself have chosen to be monogamous and therefore this pineapple is not an indication of my participation in the swinger lifestyle. Rather, I am a fan of the popular USA Network series Psych which ran from 2006-2014.’”
