I’m A Celeb's Tulisa admits she was held up in airport after officials found a sex toy in her hand luggage

Tulisa has bravely opened up about the hilarious incident

In her 2012 memoir, Honest: My Story So Far, Tulisa said she was once stopped at Miami airport when ‘check-in staff noticed that something weird was going on with my luggage’.

When the check-in staff picked up her suitcase, the pop star said it was very obviously vibrating.

The I’m A Celebrity: Get Me Out of Here! contestant was then left ‘red faced’ after what happened next.

Though she knew what was going on straight away, writing: “I felt the quivering case and I knew what it was straight away.

“It was a sex toy. My sex toy!”

Along with her personal assistant Gareth Varey, the pair burst out laughing, as Tulisa recalled: “Gareth clocked it straight away too, and we both burst into fits of laughter: we were cracking up.

“I had to open the bloody case and take the batteries out of the damn thing because I couldn’t get it to stop buzzing.”

She regrets being a ‘bit embarrassed’ by the incident, admitting: “At the time I was a bit embarrassed about it so I said it belonged to a friend, but actually, yes, Tulisa has got a sex toy, and so have millions of other women.

“As I’ve said, I’m not into casual sex anymore, so when I’m not in a relationship, it comes in very handy, thank you!”

This comes after the hip hop singer told her I’m A Celeb campmates last week that she was demisexual.

She said: “I’m proper guarded. I feel like I’m demisexual, I need to have a really close emotional bond with someone…I need actual depth. I’m a slow, slow burner. I’ve been celibate for over three years.”

As Tulisa mentioned, demisexualilty is when you’re only sexually attracted to someone once you’ve developed an emotional attachment with them.

Evolutionary social psychologist Dr Sarah Hill has explained why women and men see sex differently

A scientist has revealed the surprising difference between men and women when it comes to their ‘appetite for sex’.

Social psychologist Dr Sarah Hill has explained why different genders tend to look at sex differently, from an evolutionary point of view.

The US-based professor appeared on The Diary Of A CEO podcast to talk about the dangers of birth control pills, from ‘sabotaging sex to axing attraction’.

But during the November 25 episode, she also opened up about an old study conducted by the University of Florida involving a male and female model who would purposely approach strangers on campus.

“What the researchers did is they had a male and female model, so a really attractive person approached strangers on campus and they would introduce themselves,” Dr Hill said.

“They would just say ‘hello, I’ve been noticing you around campus and find you very attractive’.

“And after they made this introduction, they would then follow this with one of three requests.

“It would either be ‘would you like to go on a date with me, would you like to go back to my apartment with me, or would you like to go and have sex with me’.”

The study found was that for both men and women, 50 percent agreed to the date.

But what they discovered was that very few women said ‘yes’ to going back to the apartment with that person.

“And a full zero percent of women said that they would go back and have sex with the person,” Dr Hill continued.

“This isn’t what they found for men, right?

“For men, what they found was that men were more likely to agree to go back to somebody’s apartment with them than they were to the date.

“And men were most likely to agree to just have sex, almost 80 percent of men agreed, ‘Yeah I would love to go and have sex with you,’ and the men who said ‘no’, usually were in a relationship.”

Dr Hill noted that women are less reluctant to have sex with men because of the evolutionary fact that they can get pregnant, leaving ‘a minimum investment of nine months time in pregnancy and then subsequent time spent breastfeeding’.

“So for women who were sexually opportunistic, in other words, willing to consent to sex without strings or investment, women would have been penalised for that because throughout most of our evolutionary history that could result in a pregnancy,” she added.

Whereas men who ‘consent to sex without commitment, that’s an evolutionary win’.

Woman defended after revealing how husband reacted when he found her ‘toy’

Woman defended after revealing how husband reacted when he found her ‘toy’

Pretty much everyone sided with her

A woman has been told she was in the right after asking the internet for some relationship advice.

Hopping online, the 23-year-old woman outlined her situation as she came home one day to discover her 30-year-old husband being ‘very stand off ish’ and not wanting to talk much.

Since he wasn’t talking very much she got her Kindle and started reading instead, which didn’t seem to soothe any tensions.

Later in the day as they were going to bed she was reading her Kindle again when her husband grabbed the device from her hands and chucked it across the room.

At this point she was naturally thinking ‘what the actual f**k’, and it turned out he’d found her ‘toy’, which she said she’d never actually used and had bought out of curiosity.

What may be stashed in those drawers could be cause for discussion, but not destruction.

He then accused her of being unsatisfied with him, of cheating on him, of wanting to cheat on him and considering withholding sex from him, all of which she said were untrue.

Seeking some relationship advice from the helpful denizens of the internet she hopped online to ask if this was a normal interaction and what people’s advice might be.

“He threw your Kindle?? Throw that man in the trash,” was the most popular response, and while anyone who’s looked up relationship advice on the internet will know ‘dump him’ is almost always among the responses there were plenty more explaining to the woman why she should consider it.

Someone else said a if a partner ‘threw a tantrum about it and tried to DESTROY MY THINGS’ that would be a deal breaker for them.

Others warned that ‘destroying personal property is an early stage of domestic violence’.

Someone else brought up a double standard when they asked if her husband had ever been chocking the chicken during their relationship.

According to the woman he had but said ‘that’s different’ when she brought it up, and several said this was a ‘red flag’.

Lots more suggested the husband’s reaction could be pointing towards some deeper ‘insecurity’, and that he was ‘jealous of the vibrator’.

Someone else in the woman’s situation said her partner ‘threw a tantrum’ after discovering her sex toy and explained that they were now no longer together.

Others who weren’t calling it grounds for divorce instead suggested that counselling might be the answer, while another said that feeling ‘put out’ would be normal but what certainly wasn’t was grabbing something out of his wife’s hands and throwing it across the room.

Ancient ‘sex toy’ could be the oldest and most used in Britain, experts say

Ancient ‘sex toy’ could be the oldest and most used in Britain, experts say

The wooden object was found ‘discarded in a ditch’

As Jim’s father from American Pie reminds us throughout the movie, masturbation is ‘completely normal’.

And looking at this ancient ‘sex toy’, it’s clear that our ancestors had needs too.

Researchers who were assuringly looking for non-erotic objects discovered the wooden log at a Roman fort south of Hadrian’s Wall in northern England last year.

Findings from the Vindolanda site suggest that the area was under Roman occupation from around 85 AD to 370 AD.

However, in 1992 researchers weirdly came across a weird-looking wooden object around 6.2 inches in length.

Above average, I see.

Anyway, the object, carved from ash, was not highly decorated and had been crafted by humans enough to create a solid looking woodpecker.

Bringing a whole new meaning to the term ‘wood’, experts believe it could have been used as a sexual implement back in the day.

I don’t even want to think about the possibility of splinters.

The suggestion is based on the shape of the object, which researchers noticed was smooth on both ends, indicating ‘repeated contact over time’.

Dr Rob Collins, one of the authors of the study, told the MailOnline: “If the object is a sex toy, we believe it could be the oldest example from Britain.”

“The size of the phallus and the fact that it was carved from wood raises a number of questions to its use,” he added. “We cannot be certain of its intended use, in contrast to most other phallic objects that make symbolic use of that shape for a clear function, like a good luck charm.”

The Vindolanda Charitable Trust has explained the object was found discarded in a ditch, leading it to question: “What was ‘it’ doing, discarded in a ditch? And where did ‘it’ come from?

“Can we do more to understand what caused the wear patterns which are so evident at the tip and on the base, but did not damage the shaft?”

I’m sure some of the filthier minds out there have plenty of suggestions as to what caused the wear.

The purpose of the object has been debated for some time, with some initially suggesting it may have been used for darning after it was found alongside dozens of shoes and dress accessories.

Barbara Birley, Curator at the Vindolanda Trust, highlighted the importance of the find as she commented: “The wooden phallus may well be currently unique in its survival from this time, but it is unlikely to have been the only one of its kind used at the site, along the frontier, or indeed in Roman Britain.”

Jack O'Connell admits he felt 'compromised' during sex scenes on Skins

Jack O’Connell admits he felt ‘compromised’ during sex scenes on Skins

The actor didn’t feel comfortable a decade ago when filming intimate scenes

There have been many TV shows that have shaped our generations, but one of them has probably caused the most fun.

If you were born in the 90s, you were probably just old enough to watch the best UK teenage show, Skins.

It had everything from sex to drugs and constant flows of drama, which is why we were all hooked and up late watching it behind our parents backs.

But did you ever think about the cast and how it must have felt to film certain scenes?

Let’s look at Jack O’Connell for instance, probably one of the biggest stars to come from the show.

He has been in countless films and shows since then, the latest which was the Netflix adaptation of Lady Chatterley’s Lover.

This was a raunchy film if there ever was one, including one infamous scene that shocked viewers.

However, if you thought he was used to sex scenes, think again.

Back in his Skins days, O’Connell was just a 17-year-old who was ‘naïve’.

Addressing his role as James Cook in Skins a decade ago, O’Connell said to The Independent about filming sex scenes: “It’s hard to say that you’re ever totally comfortable.

“Listen, I admit I was very naive at the time, enough so as to not check in with myself and question myself if I was feeling comfortable or not.

“It just felt like part and parcel of the programme in a very different time than the one we’re in now.”

But he also thinks that the film industry has changed for the better in this regard.

“I think what’s important is that these discussions are being had to make sure that whatever was happening [on] that wasn’t right, it seems, is addressed and doesn’t repeat itself,” he continued.

“You feel very compromised and if you don’t feel that you’re protected in that environment, it can be very unnecessarily daunting.”

The actor said the industry is a lot better when it comes to filming sex scenes these days.

Even though the actor isn’t new to the nude gig, he still feels a little apprehensive.

“Still, there’s always going to be nerves,” he said.

“But listen, if it’s going to push the story forward then that’s that.

“Words to the effect of, if it can’t be avoided, just crack on with it.”

The actor went on to talk about working with an ‘intimacy coordinator’ on Lady Chatterley’s Lover, detailing that there was no type of coordinator back in the day.

An intimacy coordinator’s entire job is basically around making sure that actors are comfortable when it comes to filming intimate scenes.

“My career definitely predates the intimacy coordinator age,” he said.

But he’s not the only Skins castmate who didn’t feel the greatest about some scenes as April Pearson, who played Michelle Richardson, also said she ‘didn’t feel protected’ while filming.

LADbible has reached out to Channel 4 for comment.
