“Why Does It Have Bush?”: Fans Stunned By Detailed Mannequins In Kim Kardashian’s NYC Skims Store

Only a mannequin posted by Kim Kardashian would have fans talking this much.

The media personality promoted the opening of her SKIMS flagship store in New York City by posting a variety of beige-hued snapshots on Instagram on December 12.

But what caught the attention of netizens was the very first photo, as they pointed out a hilarious detail on the figure in question.

Highlights

  • Fans amused by mannequin’s realistic detail in SKIMS flagship store.
  • Top comment on Kim’s post: ‘Why does that mannequin have a bush lol.’
  • SKIMS faced backlash for its The North Face collaboration.

Fans were raising their eyebrows at a tiny little detail in one of Kim Kardashian’s photos promoting her new SKIMS shop

In its caption, Kim wrote, “The SKIMS New York City Flagship is now open.

“Discover three levels of signature and limited edition styles at our iconic 5th Avenue location.”

Among many verified accounts expressing their excitement and congratulations for the 44-year-old—including the official account for the Empire State Building—others were laughing about the realistic nature of the dummy pictured in slide one.

“Why does that [mannequin] have a bush lol,” was the top comment, with over 3K likes.

Another joked, “I knew bush was in,” while one echoed, “Yeah kims mannequin have bush. You got a problem with that? 😂”

One user seemed to appreciate the authenticity, writing, “This is awesome love [that] the bodies of these mannequins are realistic.”

Just recently, SKIMS received backlash for its winter collection

The shapewear and clothing brand, co-founded by Kim, was slammed by consumers when they announced a collaboration with The North Face that was set to go live on December 10, as reported by Daily Mail.

“THE NORTH FACE x SKIMS limited edition collection of jackets, ski suits, and base layers launches Tuesday, December 10 at 6AM PT on SKIMS.co, in SKIMS stores, and in select The North Faces stores,” the mother of four wrote on social media.

But people were upset with the color scheme, claiming it could put users in danger, as it may cause skiers to blend in with their surroundings, especially during an emergency.

TikTok content creator Dani Lola went viral with her video titled, “Skims x North Face is dangerous,” amassing more than 5M views.

She showed off the nude palette of the puffers, leggings, and ski masks, saying, “If you actually go on a mountain, everyone knows you’re supposed to wear colors — where if you fall in the snow, if there’s an avalanche, people will find you.”

Instead, SKIM’s partnership with The North Face created shades that were much too similar to bark, rocks, dirt, or sticks, according to the public.
