What happened as Garron Noone deletes TikTok and Instagram after Conor McGregor immigration video

Known for his food reviews and comedic takes, while also saying his ‘I’m Delicious’ catchline, Noone has deleted his social media

Irish creator Garron Noone, known for his viral ‘I’m Delicious’ catchphrase, has deleted his social media accounts on TikTok and Instagram following a video about immigration.

It comes after his fellow countryman Conor McGregor made demands to the Irish government on ‘White House paper’ regarding the political future of Ireland, including people coming in to the country.

McGregor said, without evidence, that Irish politicians have ‘abandoned the voices of the people’, adding that there was ‘zero action with zero accountability’.

He went as far as saying there is an ‘illegal immigration racket running ravage’. Again, without providing evidence of this.

Noone, who had more than one million people following him across his accounts, became popular during the coronavirus lockdowns for his food reviews and satirical takes on current affairs and news.

But in a new video on the serious matter of immigration, Noone said countless people had messaged him for his take on McGregor’s visit to The White House and to see President Donald Trump as a way for the USA to mark St Patrick’s Day.

“Now, my opinion on Conor McGregor is irrelevant. But I don’t think he’s a good person,” Noone said. “I don’t think it’s particularly hard to find evidence of that.

“But it doesn’t surprise me in the least to see a lot of people agreeing with what he was saying.

“There absolutely is a immigration issue in Ireland.”

Noone, who is a professional musician, added that this ‘doesn’t mean that people feel we shouldn’t take the refugees that we’re able to take’ or that ‘people shouldn’t be able to come here for better opportunities’.

On the wider issue of politics in Ireland, he added: “The systems that we have in place are being taken advantage of, and that is plain to see.

“And the government continually does not allow people to express their concerns about that.

“Along with this, Ireland continues to become one of the richest countries in the world while most people’s quality of life is going down.”

Despite saying he didn’t agree with McGregor and doesn’t actually like the man, he tried to clarify his comments in a later post saying that he knew his opinion would be taken out of context.

He said that extreme views on immigration are ‘not something that we want’ but that ‘we need to hear people out’.

Now the creator has now made the sudden decision to deactivate his accounts on TikTok and Instagram.

His YouTube account is still active but he has yet to publicly comment on why he has removed his other two platforms.
