Six people were on board the plane, a child from Mexico who had been receiving treatment for a life threatening condition, her mother and four crew members.
The plane, a Learjet 55, had been departing Philadelphia and heading for Missouri before it was scheduled to reach its eventual destination of Tijuana.

“When an incident like this happens, it’s shocking and surprising,” the spokesperson said further.
“All of the aircraft are maintained, not a penny is spared because we know our mission is so critical.”
Jet Rescue Air Ambulance is based in Mexico and operates air ambulance services there and in the US.
Whether there are any survivors from those on board the plane is unclear as of yet.
Footage taken from people’s dashcams and doorbells showed the jet plummeting to the ground shortly after take-off before it exploded when it impacted with a city street.
Three of them have been treated and released, the condition of the other three who are known to have received treatment at Temple University Hospital-Jeanes is not yet known.
Pennsylvania governor Josh Shapiro warned that fatalities in the crash were to be expected, saying: “We know that there will be loss.”
He described the crash as an ‘awful aviation disaster’.

This tragic crash comes in the wake of the deadliest US air disaster in years, as just days earlier a passenger plane coming in to land at Ronald Reagan National Airport near Washington DC with 64 people on board collided with an army helicopter carrying three people.
