Home Alone is a festive staple, and it’s no doubt a favourite in many homes.
It’s been 34 years since Home Alone was released, and it followed the story of a young boy who went on to torment a pair of robbers with a series of traps, which (let’s be honest) would have killed anyone else in real life.
In the flick, Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin, or Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin, if we’re using his legal name) is accidentally left behind by his family as they travel to Paris for Christmas.
Upon realising that they’ve left their kid in the attic, the family go through a series of events to try to make it back to their son.

Hilariously, this isn’t the last time they’ll forget about Kevin, as Home Alone 2 goes on to show him alone in New York City.
Anyway, in the first film, Kevin defeats Harry (Joe Pesci) and Marv (Daniel Stern) and he’s then reunited with his parents and his many siblings – siblings who have now all come together to reminisce about their time on set.
In New Jersey’s Pandoras Box Toys & Collectables, five of the kiddies (now adults) got together to take pictures and talk to fans about the movie.
There was Buzz (Devin Ratray), Heather (Kristin Minter), Jeff (Michael C. Moronna), Linnie (Angela Goethals), and Rod (Jedidiah Cohen).
Hilariously, at the event, one fan showed Maronna a tattoo on their leg of Kevin’s face.

Unfortunately, Culkin wasn’t there, but fans were happy nonetheless.
The venue went on to share the pictures from the event showing how fans reacted to the cast, through a series of pictures on Instagram.
The caption read: “Guys, I’m eating junk and watching rubbish! You better come out and stop me!!!
“Today’s event was so much fun! Thank you to Devin Ratray @devinratray, Kristin Minter @kristin_minter, Michael C Maronna, Angela Goethals @g0ethals, Jed Cohen and everyone who came out to meet them and celebrate their Home Alone Fandom with all of us today here at @pandorasboxtoysandcollectibles.
“This was the first time they had all been together in over 30 years!”
In other news, if you’ve not seen the Home Alone 3 ‘trailer’, you’re missing out.
Old Harry and Marv and a middle-aged Kevin can be seen getting up to their shenanigans again, and it’s classic.
Obviously, it’s not real, as it pieces together various clips of the cast in different movie,s and also uses some questionable editing techniques to make it look realistic.
But how cool would it be if it was?
Christmas dinner, presents, family, pigs in blankets, and obviously festive films (once you’ve finished arguing about what to watch obviously).
And many of us can’t get through Christmas without watching one of the Home Alone movies at least once.
Except this year, there’s something missing in the sequel (Home Alone 2: Lost in New York) that aired on ITV.
Turns out a load of viewers were fuming to find out one particularly iconic scene had been cut out for ‘no reason’.
Brits to X to rage about ITV cutting out the unforgettable scene where Marv is electrocuted by one of Kevin’s many traps and tricks.
And other users raged as they couldn’t understand why the broadcaster would omit the moment.
One put: “I was gutted, can’t be because the now infamous meme, but surely it’s not because it’s too ‘scary’ either?!”
Another slammed: “Very strange, especially as that same ITV feels it’s quite acceptable to subject viewers to Loose Women 5 days a week.”
Others also claimed: “They cut out the staple hitting his nose too… turned it off from that moment….. pointless doing that to a ‘classic’ film that most of the planet has seen a dozen times…”
20th Century Studios
“Can’t believe it, that’s my favourite part of the whole film,” another put.
One echoed: “I thought I’d dreamt it when it was missing just can’t understand why they didn’t show it.”
Many agreed: “100 percent the best part of the film.”
Plenty recommended heading to Disney+ as they say it’s ‘sacrilege’ to cut the electrocuting scene.
It’s a heart-breaking Christmas for viewers who ‘watch Home Alone 2 JUST for this part’.
Others were confused why they’d ‘cut this bit but keep the Trump part in’.
There’s plenty other great moments in the sequel though, I mean who would miss Piers Morgan playing the pigeon lady? Although he can keep denying it, we believe what we want.
And if you’re still after some Home Alone viewing time, there’s an incredible trailer for a fake film people are begging to be made.
From Love Actually to Elf, they just never get old. And one of the absolute favourites just has to be Home Alone – and the sequel too, of course.
But fans reckon that film stars a certain Piers Morgan, who is pretty tired of the fun claims:
As well as bumping into Donald Trump, the little lad also becomes friends with the ‘pigeon lady’.
Well, I’m just calling her that, she doesn’t have another proper name.
But she has also been referred to as Morgan in disguise – I mean, the resemblance is uncanny.
Every Christmas the accusations begin that the pigeon lady ‘is Piers Morgan with a wig on’.
One viewer even joked on X: “@piersmorgan I just have to applaud you for your stellar acting work in Home Alone 2.”
20th Century Fox
Another put: “Annual reminder that Piers Morgan got his start as the pigeon lady in Home Alone 2.”
People are so persistent with saying the bloke played the role he ended up having to publicly deny it on TV.
Back in 2020, when he still presented Good Morning Britain, his co-host Susanna Reid claimed she could prove it.
Reid said: “Can we just have a look at Home Alone 2 because, frankly, it is the best picture.
“Because lots of people watch Home Alone 2 and wonder if this is you.”
And Morgan responded: “Why does this keep coming around? That is not me. I am not the bag lady in Home Alone 2.”
Reid showed ‘proof’ with a snap of him covered in pigeons for an episode in 2018, as even his own son brought it to light.
Brenda Fricker, who actually played the pigeon lady, apparently finds this whole thing hilarious too.
Although one user wrote on X: “I’d call Piers Morgan the Pigeon Lady from Home Alone but that’d be insulting to her … and to the pigeons.”
Ouch.
While others joked that the set of the film was where he first met Trump.
I mean, he can deny it all he likes but it really does look like him.
That’s how fans of this popular Christmas flick feel, and now they are calling for it to be created as soon as possible.
If you’ve ever watched the classic movie Home Alone (and if you haven’t, what’s going on?) then you’ll know that there is one particular scene of little Kevin McCalister and the gruff burglars that is the funniest of them all.
It’s when Kevin decided to trick the robbers with a little scene from a fictional black and white movie to get them to leave his home.It is of course, the film ‘Angels With Filthy Souls‘, which is a fake gangster movie with the most famous line of them all: “Keep the change, ya filthy animal.”
It’s something that Macaulay Culkin (or should I say Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin?) had probably had shouted at him across the street for years since the 90s.
Warner Bros
The film is actually fake and Seth Rogen was the one to break it to the internet a couple of years ago when he tweeted: “My entire childhood, I thought the old timey movie that Kevin watches in Home Alone (Angels With Filthy Souls) was actually an old movie.”
Apparently, the film clip was exclusively filmed for the franchise, and according to Vanity Fair, it was shot in an abandoned high school gym.
However, it does reference a real gangster film from the 30s, which starred James Cagney.
Warner Bros
Art director Dan Webster told Vanity Fair: “I believe the title was decided upon only because we needed to create a label for the tape Kevin puts in the VHS player.”
But if you wanted to see more of it, you can actually see full versions of the short clips in the featurettes included on the Home Alone DVDs along with commentary from director Chris Columbus, according to Distractify.
However, that’s simply not enough for fans, who want to see it be made into a full feature-length movie so that they can see what was going on in the plot.
Why is this guy shooting up people and telling them to keep the change? That’s what I want to know.
A lot of hopefuls took to X, formerly Twitter to beg for it to be created.
One person wrote: “Home Alone didn’t need a remake. What needs to be produced as full feature film was the fake noir gangster movie- ‘Angels With Filthy Souls’ and its sequel ‘Angels With Filthier Souls’.”
Warner Bros.
Another said: “I’m honestly surprised that there hasn’t been a crowd-funded fan film creating a full feature length version of Home Alone’s fake film-within-a-film “Angels With Filthy Souls” yet.”
A third was a big fan of the short, saying: “That fake gangster film on home alone is cold as hell.”
Someone else wasn’t happy that Hollywood hadn’t prioritised the shooting of this film yet, writing: “Of all the nonsense Hollywood has put to film over the years.
“All the remakes, reboots, adaptations, and niche content made mainstream. Why the HELL haven’t they made the fake movie from Home Alone into a real movie??”
Come on, Hollywood, give the fans what they want.
But his excitement disappears when he realises that two con men (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern) plan to rob the McCallister residence, and that he alone must protect the home, while the family accidentally go on holiday without him.
Whilst Macaulay became a child star, his younger brother Kevin was seemingly left out of the limelight.
It’s only really now that he’s become a recognisable name after starring as Roman Roy in HBO’s smash hit Succession.
But Kieran’s celebrity status was nothing like his brother’s was at first.
Kieran spoke with Esquire about how he felt for his brother.
“Poor f***ing guy,” he said.
“He was little and having to try to accept that level of fame as a reality.”
“Even at that time, as a kid, I remember thinking, ‘That sucks for him,’” Kieran added.
Macaulay has also opened up out about those times, recalling how he enjoyed his acting career because he ‘was good at it and [he] knew it’.
He said: “Look, I mean, it sucks,
“But, it coulda been worse, you know?
“I wasn’t working in a coal mine. I wasn’t a child soldier.
“My father was not sexually abusing me. Certain f***ed-up things happened, but f***ed-up things happen to kids all the time and they don’t come out the other end.
“I’ve got something to show for it, man.”
Whilst younger brother Kieran has been making massive strides in the entertainment industry, fans of the hit HBO series were stunned the learn that he played small parts in the first and second Home Alone films as Kevin’s cousin, Fuller.
“Mind blown when I realized Kieran Culkin is in Home Alone,” one fan tweeted, as another added: “Never realized Fuller in Home Alone was Kieran Culkin.”
“Wait, wait, wait. Hold up. Did anyone else know that Fuller in Home Alone was played by Kieran Culkin, Macaulay Culkin’s brother in real life?” a third commented.
“I just learned that Macaulay Culkin’s actual brother Kieran Culkin, played Kevin’s cousin Fuller in the Home Alone movies.”
